All applicants must complete the application form and, where required, attend a selection interview; be able to complete the classroom-based programme as scheduled. Support will be given to help you get your first fitness job, but a job cannot be guaranteed. To qualify for the funding you must have been a resident in UK for 3 years or more. Funding for the fitness instructor programme is limited to 16-24 year olds, the personal trainer programme is open to all ages. Applicants with an HND or degree-level qualification do not qualify for funding. Personal trainer programme: Applicants must have already achieved a REPs Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and ideally have a minimum of 3-months work experience or willing to self-fund a REPs Level 2 Fitness Instructor Award and complete 3-months work experience prior to attending the government funded Personal Trainer programme.
